The motorcade of researchers - the participants of the expedition - will officially start from Tver in early March 2018. In the city of Mezen, the off-road part of the route begins, which will pass through the villages of Nes and Shoyna. Next, researchers will visit the “Kanin Nos” hydrometeorological station, located on the Kanin Peninsula that separates the White and the Barents Sea.

On the occasion of the upcoming World Meteorological Day - March 23 - the expedition participants will bring fresh fruit, fresh newspapers and new books to the weather station staff, and, of course, the joy and warmth of communication with friends. Further, the expedition members will visit the “Mys Mikulkin” weather station, cross the Chosha Bay of the Barents Sea over ice and reach the village of Indiga and then arrive in the city of Naryan-Mar, the capital of the Nenets Autonomous Area. From Naryan-Mar, the route runs through the ancient Pomor villages of the Barents Sea and ends in the city of Mezen, from where the travelers will return to Tver, using public roads .
The length of the route:
• On public roads - about 3,500 km;
• Off-road - about 1,500 km;
• Along the Barents Sea - about 100 km.

Duration of Expedition : 20 days

Travelers plan to arrive in Naryan-Mar on Election day - March 18, 2018. The expedition will approximately finish in Tver on March 25, 2018.
The expedition route will go through these cities and main points: Tver - Mezen - Nes village - Shoyna village - “Kanin Nos” weather station - “Mys Mikulkin” weather station - Indiga village - Naryan-Mar - Okunev Nos village - Ust-Tsilma village - Mezen - Tver.
